The Lowest Tide is the second release in the Woolf / Sung series of independent bottlings. It is a 26 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, distilled in 1991 and matured in a single Sauternes cask. It was bottled in 2018 at a natural strength of 50.9% ABV, with an outturn of 287 bottles. The Sauternes cask adds honeyed sweetness, while peat smoke, maritime character and tropical fruit remain part of the whisky. Each bottle is hand-numbered and comes in a black powder-coated stainless steel vault case.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
