Bowmore 25 Year Old is an Islay single malt at 43%, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak Oloroso sherry casks, then finished in sherry wood. The colour is a deep mahogany.
The nose offers rhubarb, soft smoke and warm oak. On the palate come sweet fruits, baked butterscotch, singed cocoa and a gentle minerality. The finish is long, with soft toffee, hazelnuts and a subtle warmth of peat.
