Bowmore 25 Years Old is an Islay single malt from the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection, in the Symington's Choice selection. It was distilled on 23 September 1997 and bottled on 9 February 2023, after 25 years in a single Oloroso sherry butt, which yielded 616 bottles.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 55.9% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added colour, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings lime, grapefruit and ripe mango, with sea air, mineral notes and a faint medicinal smoke. On the palate are juicy mango, passion fruit and pink grapefruit, with salty sea notes, soft peat smoke and a touch of walnut-skin bitterness. The finish is long, with citrus, sea salt and soft smoke.
