Bowmore – 30 Year Old The Kinship Edition No. 2 (56.1%)

A 30-year-old Bowmore matured in sherry casks and bottled at 56.1%. It is the second edition of The Kinship series from 2017 and is one of 507 bottles. Hunter Laing created the Kinship collection of six bottles to mark the start of construction of the Ardnahoe distillery on Islay in 2017. Each bottle celebrates a different Islay distillery. The nose has a hint of hazy smoke, plenty of fruit and lavender, then sweetness and citrus. On the palate the smoke mingles with lavender, and a few drops of water bring out tobacco and vanilla. The finish is delicate and balanced.
