Bowmore Darkest is an Islay single malt from the Bowmore distillery, bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in sherry casks, which give it extra colour, fruit and warm wood.
The nose brings raisins, dried plums and ripe dark fruit with dark chocolate, caramel and a hint of peat smoke. The palate is full and round, with dark chocolate, toffee and dried fruit, soft peat smoke, roasted malt and a touch of liquorice. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa, coffee, dark caramel and dried fruit.
