This is a Bowmore Deluxe from the 1970s, a single malt from Islay.
The nose combines sweet tropical fruit, including pink grapefruit, passion fruit, tangerine and overripe Cavaillon melon, with a fairly bold peatiness, some lime and a little menthol. On the palate there is a fruit candy character of oranges, peaches and lime, alongside brown sugar, a little latte and milk chocolate. The peat is very gentle here, with light herbal notes.
The finish is long, malty and sweet, clean, with subtle spicy oak.
