Bowmore – Distillery Legend (70cl, 40%)

Bowmore Legend is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40%. It is an entry-level expression, kept light in style and matured only in bourbon barrels. The bourbon maturation gives a clean, crisp profile in which Bowmore's smoke is present but gentle rather than overpowering. On the nose there is light smoke, citrus, vanilla and soft malt. The palate is fresh and smooth, with citrus, light honey and soft smoke. The finish is short to medium, clean and slightly smoky.
