Bowmore – No.1 (70cl)

Bowmore No.1 is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, matured exclusively in first-fill bourbon barrels. It pairs the distillery's peat smoke with vanilla sweetness from those casks. The name refers to the No.1 Vaults, the maturation warehouse below sea level on the shores of Loch Indaal. Bowmore was founded in 1779. The nose offers vanilla, citrus and honeyed sweetness with gentle peat smoke and subtle coastal notes. On the palate are creamy vanilla, sweet malt and fresh citrus, with warming smoke and hints of oak. The finish is warming and gently smoky, with lingering sweetness, citrus and oak.
