A single malt from Bowmore on Islay, distilled in 1991 and matured for sixteen years in port pipes before it was bottled in 2007 at 53.1% ABV. It belongs to the Limited Edition Port Wood series, and 18,000 bottles were released.
The nose offers stewed fruit, sweet black cherries and ripe red berries with dark chocolate, and soft peat smoke and earthy notes behind. On the palate it is warm and full, with blackberries, plum jam and dark red fruit alongside earthy peat and a little spice. The finish is long and warming, with dark fruit, dark chocolate and soft peat smoke.
