Bowmore White Sands 17 Year Old is an Islay single malt from Bowmore's travel retail trilogy, inspired by the island's landscapes and named after its white beaches. It is bottled at 43% ABV and is said to be a favourite of the distillery manager.
The whisky was matured exclusively in bourbon casks, combining coastal peat smoke with vanilla sweetness.
The nose offers creamy vanilla, toffee, treacle, gentle peat smoke and sea breeze. The palate has sweet malt, toasted oak, subtle citrus and maritime salinity, leading to a long, softly smoky finish.
