Breckenridge Whiskey Port Cask Finish Batch No. 5 (75cl, 45%)

A bourbon from Breckenridge Distillery, finished in 59-gallon Tawny Port casks. The whiskey is aged for a minimum of three years, then spends a further four to six months in the port wood. The mashbill is 56% corn, 38% rye and 6% malted barley, and it is bottled at 45% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The port casks add sultana raisin and maple syrup to the aroma and flavour, which round out and soften the naturally spicy finish. This is Batch No. 5, and each batch shows a slightly different character.
