Brenne is a French single malt, distilled in Cognac from malted barley grown in the region. It is run through copper Charentais alembic stills, the type used for Cognac, and bottled at 40% ABV.
The whisky is aged in new French Limousin oak barrels and in ex-Cognac casks.
The nose is aromatic, with ripe banana, mango and baked pear over vanilla, floral honey and a hint of pastry cream. On the palate it is light and creamy, with pineapple, papaya, orange zest and soft caramel. The finish is long and gently sweet, with almond croissant, candied citrus and vanilla custard.
