Brenne Ten is a ten-year-old French single malt from the Cognac region, bottled at 48% ABV. It starts with organic barley grown on the estate and is twice distilled in alembic stills, using water from the Charente river.
The whisky is aged in new French Limousin oak, with a Cognac cask finish.
The nose offers vanilla bean, crème brûlée, stewed apricot and passion fruit, then caramelised orange peel and a hint of clove. The palate is smooth and medium-bodied, with brandied cherry, baked apple, fig, almond paste and toffee. The finish is long and dry, with warm oak and a faint peppery note.
