Heresy is a rye whiskey from Broken Barrel, bottled at 52.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
The mash bill is 95% rye and 5% malted barley. Instead of a single cask, it was aged with broken staves added to the barrels: 40% French oak, 40% ex-bourbon and 20% sherry cask. The makers say this brings flavours similar to a finish, along with additional maturity.
