Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 15.2 is an heavily peated Islay single malt in the 15 series, with a phenol content of 108.2 ppm.
It was matured in second-fill wine and bourbon casks, then given a final maturation in fresh cognac casks. It comes in a tin box.
The nose brings dense peat smoke, spicy oak, ripe dried fruit and hints of dark chocolate and cognac. The palate is powerful, with smoke, malty sweetness, velvety vanilla, and touches of raisins, nuts and spices. The finish is long and intense, with lingering peat smoke, fruity notes and cognac wood.
