Buchanan's 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 375ml bottle. Every whisky in the blend has been aged for at least twelve years.
The malts come mainly from Speyside and Highland distilleries and are married with Scottish grain whiskies.
The nose brings salted butter, roasted almonds, orange zest and vanilla cream, with a faint trace of peat. The palate is silky, with honey, orchard fruit, citrus and milk chocolate, then gentle peat smoke and heather. The finish is medium and dryish, with cigar box, vanilla-caramel and apricot.
