Buchanan's Select 15 Year Old is a blended malt Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is made entirely from single malt whiskies with no grain whisky, a departure from the traditional Buchanan's blends. The brand was founded by James Buchanan in 1884.
The malts come from distilleries across Scotland and were matured for at least 15 years. Master Blender Craig Wallace assembled the vatting.
The nose is sweet and creamy, with lemon zest, toffee apple, coconut, a little chocolate and orange peel. The palate has toffee, rosemary and pine, fruit and gentle spice, with a smoky barbecue note. The finish is medium, with toffee, herbal notes, smoke and dried fruit.
