Buffalo Trace is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky, bottled at 45% in a 375ml bottle. It is aged in new charred oak barrels.
The colour is deep amber. Sweet vanilla, mint, molasses and dark fruit open the nose, with brown sugar, leather and gentle baking spices. On the palate it is sweet and medium to full in body, with caramel, toffee, candied orange peel, toasted oak and a hint of anise. The finish is long and warming, with dark chocolate, gentle rye spice and charred oak.
