Buffalo Trace – Kosher Rye Recipe Bourbon (75cl, 47%)

A Kentucky straight bourbon from Buffalo Trace, part of the distillery's Kosher whiskey series, which is released each year after Passover. It is certified by the Chicago Rabbinical Council and made under kosher production guidelines. It comes in a 75cl-style 750ml bottle at 94 proof (47%). It is made from the high rye mash bill that Buffalo Trace uses for some of its bourbons, which gives a slightly spicier profile. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, toasted oak and light baking spice. On the palate come honey sweetness, rye spice, brown sugar, soft oak and a hint of citrus. The finish is medium to long, with warming spice, vanilla and gentle oak.
