Bulleit Barrel Strength is Bulleit's high rye Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled uncut and non-chill-filtered with no water added. This is Batch 4, made from selected barrels combined into a single batch and bottled at 123.4 proof (61.7%) in a 750ml bottle.
The mash bill is 68% corn, 28% rye and 4% malted barley.
The nose is gently spicy with sweet oak, butterscotch, honey and cinnamon. The palate is smooth and full bodied, with maple, oak and nutmeg over caramel and toffee, then a peppery rye kick. The finish is long, dry and satiny, with light toffee and deepened oak.
