Bulleit Bourbon Bottled in Bond is the first Bulleit bourbon distilled, aged and bottled entirely at the Bulleit Distilling Company in Shelbyville, Kentucky, which opened in 2017. It spent seven years in bond, well beyond the four-year minimum, and is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from Bulleit's heritage high rye mash bill with Kentucky limestone filtered water.
The nose leads with spice and toasted oak, with vanilla and brown sugar behind. The palate is smooth and creamy, with maple sweetness, nutmeg, caramel and a lively rye spice. The finish is long and warming, lingering on butterscotch and seasoned oak.
