A Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Cascina Massara, produced by Burlotto Gian Carlo. It is bright ruby red, with fresh red fruit, cherry and a light plum note, plus floral hints and a slightly almond-like character. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with soft tannins and lively freshness, ending clean. It suits rustic starters, cured meats, pasta with sauce and medium-aged cheeses, and is pleasant served slightly cool.
