Bushmills – 14 Years Malaga Cask

An Irish single malt from Bushmills, aged for at least 14 years. It was matured entirely in first- and second-fill bourbon casks, then finished for up to 12 months in Malaga casks. Using only bourbon wood left the vanilla sweetness in front, and the Malaga casks add exotic fruit that lifts it further. The colour is golden chestnut. The nose is sweet honey, vanilla and delicate mandarin with warm spice. On the palate come mango, pineapple and apricot, with ginger, cinnamon, milk chocolate, vanilla and warm caramel, followed by soft oak and floral notes. The finish is long and strong, with vanilla, apricot and mandarin fading into warm spices.
