This is a 16 year old single malt Irish whiskey from Bushmills, in a 75cl bottle. It spent about 15 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon-seasoned casks.
It was then finished for about nine months in port pipes, the large barrels used for port wine. The finish gives the whiskey a hint of ruby colour.
It is described as layered, with juicy fruit, nuts and spice.
