Bushmills 16 Years is an Irish single malt from Bushmills in Northern Ireland. It is matured in three types of cask: bourbon, port and sherry. Together they give the whiskey fruit, nut and spice notes.
The nose is classically Irish, with honey, yoghurt and tinned stone fruit, and a note of cassia bark that develops in the glass. The palate is rich and spicy, with juicy summer fruits, Christmas spices, pine oil, manuka honey and peaches in syrup. The finish is thick and syrupy, with red berries and golden syrup.
