Bushmills 21 Year Old is an Irish single malt in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV (80 proof). It spends a minimum of 19 years in former bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, then a further two years in Madeira wine casks.
The three-cask maturation gives refined sweetness and gentle spice.
The nose is honey, dried fruit, toasted wood and subtle spice. On the palate there is rich malt, toffee, raisins, vanilla and gentle oak. The finish is long, smooth and warming, with lingering sweetness and soft spice.
