This is a 46-year-old single malt Irish whiskey from Bushmills, released as Secrets of the River Bush. It was aged exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at 46.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was blended by Master Blender Alex Thomas, and only 300 bottles were produced. It was distilled and bottled at the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, which dates its history to 1608.
The nose has dried fruit, nutmeg, sherry sweetness, leather and aged oak. The palate brings dark chocolate, roasted almonds and raisins with a touch of spice. The finish is long and warming, with sweet oak and subtle spice.
