Bushmills Original is a blended Irish whiskey from Northern Ireland, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It combines triple distilled malt with grain whiskey, matured in bourbon-seasoned barrels.
The distillery has held a licence since 1608, and the whiskey is made with spring water from Saint Columb's Rill.
The nose is fresh grain, vanilla and a touch of honey. The palate is soft and balanced, with green apple, gentle spice and a hint of toasted cereal. The finish is short to medium, clean and slightly sweet, with a little oak warmth.
