Red Bush is a blended Irish whiskey from Bushmills, bottled at 40% ABV in a 375ml bottle. It combines triple-distilled Irish single malt with Irish grain whiskey, and the whole blend is matured in American white oak bourbon casks, with first-fill casks among them.
Bushmills describes itself as the oldest working distillery in Ireland. This blend is aimed at people new to Irish whiskey and at regular bourbon drinkers.
It is sweet and buttery, with vanilla, cream and nutty notes and a hint of bourbon.
