Busnel VSOP Calvados Pays d'Auge

This is a VSOP Calvados from Busnel, made in the Pays d'Auge appellation. It is a blend of several carefully selected apple eaux-de-vie, distilled twice in the traditional way and aged for at least four years in oak casks. The colour is a bright, slightly amber tone. On the nose it opens softly, with ripe apples alongside toasted, grilled notes. The palate is gently rounded, with cinnamon and ripe fruit, and the finish is long and elegant with a touch of spice. It can be sipped neat at room temperature, with a little water or ice, or used in long drinks and cocktails.
