This Balmenach was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2026 by the independent bottler Cadenhead at 46%. It is a 15-year-old Speyside single malt from a small release.
It matured first in bourbon casks, then was moved in 2020 into fresh Palo Cortado hogsheads.
The nose is grassy, with salted pretzel, caramel, dulce de leche and tiramisu. On the palate come cappuccino, chocolate truffles and ripe banana. The finish brings cocoa powder, walnut, blood orange and black pepper.
