This is a 14 year old Auchroisk single malt from Cadenhead, Scotland's oldest independent bottler. It was matured in Manzanilla casks and bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered and without added colouring.
The Manzanilla casks add a dry, nutty character to the fruitiness of Auchroisk. The nose is dry and nutty, with salted almonds, citrus zest and delicate florals. The palate balances orchard fruits and gentle oak spice with a saline note. The finish is medium to long, with toasted nuts, light vanilla and a soft maritime saltiness.
