A 14-year-old Highland single malt bottled by Cadenhead's at 53.9% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from the Enigma series, in which the distillery is deliberately not named.
The whisky was distilled in 2009 and bottled in January 2024 from refill sherry and refill bourbon casks, with 1,986 bottles released.
The nose brings vanilla custard, fried banana and butterscotch, with malt, dried cranberry and a light smoky, spicy note. The palate is bold, with smouldering charcoal, wood smoke, treacle, nutmeg and ginger. The finish is long, with treacle, damp hay, flint and gingerbread.
