Cadenhead's Enigma 2008 is a 16 year old single malt from the Enigma series, which gathers unusual bottlings that do not fit the regular Cadenhead's range. It was distilled in 2008, matured in Manzanilla hogsheads and released in 2024 at 53.6% ABV, with 1,284 bottles.
The nose has butter, tobacco, cedarwood, honey and earthy dunnage warehouse notes, with cherries, cantaloupe and dried apricots. The palate shows ginger, a little chilli, cigar box, mint and liquorice root, with apricots and yellow plums. The finish is of medium length, herbal at first and ending in gentle orchard fruits.
