This is a 40-year-old blended malt Scotch whisky from Cairn, a distillery owned by Gordon & Macphail. It is part of the CRN57 range and is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The youngest single malt in the blend is 40 years old, and some of the whisky is older still. The range was made from Gordon & Macphail's cask stocks, while Cairn's own single malts, from a distillery founded in 2022, are still to come. The nose offers rich sherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, beeswax polish, dried fruits and orange peel. The palate is smooth and sweet, with dried tobacco, citrus, charred oak, stewed apple and walnut. The finish is nutty, with mature oak and roasted coffee beans.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
