This is a 12 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Calumet Farm in Versailles, Kentucky, bottled at 51% ABV (102 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from hand-selected barrels aged in traditional Kentucky rickhouses, using a mash bill of 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley.
The nose combines vanilla, aged oak, light rye spice, caramel and toasted wood. On the palate there is rich caramel, baking spice, smoky oak and vanilla, with a little rye warmth. The finish is long, with oak, spice and caramel sweetness.
