Cambus – 1991 24 Years Single Cask 1112903 Octave Collection Duncan Taylor

This is a 24-year-old single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Cambus distillery, distilled in 1991 and bottled by Duncan Taylor for its Octave range. After its long maturation, the whisky spent four months in a small sherry octave cask before bottling in 2016. It comes from a single cask, with an outturn of 90 bottles. The nose offers brown sugar, toffee pennies and a little apple. The palate starts fairly nutty, then turns to intense caramel and vanilla pod. The finish is fresh and fruity, with a cake-like note.
