Cambus – 1991 29 Years Single Cask 103023 (Berry Bros & Rudd)

This is a 29 year old single grain Scotch whisky from Cambus, a distillery that has since closed. Distilled in 1991, it comes from a single cask, number 103023, and was bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd for its Exceptional Casks series. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose shows redcurrants and strawberry coulis, burnt sugar and cracked black pepper. On the palate there is vanilla extract, toasted almonds, custard creams, sherried raisins and dates. The finish brings oak spice, tinned pears and pastel de nata.
