A single grain Scotch whisky from the closed Cambus distillery in the Lowlands, matured for 31 years in a single sherry butt. It was distilled on 5 May 1993 and bottled in spring 2025 by James Eadie as part of its single cask range.
The butt, number 48088, gave 349 individually numbered bottles. Each 70cl bottle is at a natural cask strength of 50.9%, without chill-filtration or added colour.
The nose combines demerara syrup, stewed fig and orange marmalade with walnut polish, toasted coconut and a hint of dark chocolate. The palate is silky, with toffee fudge, dried date and vanilla cream, plus cinnamon, roasted almond and a cigar box note. The finish is long and warming, with sherry-soaked fruit cake, gentle oak tannins and sweet cereal pastry.
