This is a 32 year old single grain whisky from Cambus, distilled in 1993 and finished for 43 months in Armagnac casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The Armagnac finish adds a fruity influence to the vanilla sweetness of the grain.
The nose opens with rich vanilla and a fragrant sweetness, with coconut sweets, fresh yellow fruit and a creamy impression. On the palate it is soft and creamy, with plenty of vanilla, gentle caramel and juicy peach. Greek yoghurt with fruit compote and flaked almonds is a fair comparison.
