This Cameronbridge is a 12 year old Lowland single grain Scotch whisky, distilled in 2013 and bottled at a cask strength of 56.9% in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single STR wine barrique, which yielded 174 bottles. The idea began as an attempt to create a new house "bourbon" for a bar by maturing single grain whisky in heavily charred STR casks. The nose is buttery biscuit, waxy, with pastry flakes and coffee. The palate has brown sugar, rye bread, dark honey and caramel-coated almonds, thick and chewy. The finish is long, warming and slightly smoky.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
