Canadian Club Original 1858 is a Canadian blended whisky bottled at 40% ABV. It is made mainly from rye and, as is usual for Canadian blends, combines whiskies from different grains.
The blend is built from whiskies aged for six years in oak, mostly in charred American-style barrels. It was named best Canadian blended whisky by the judges of the World Whisky Awards in 2008.
It is described as rich in taste, with sweetness and spice, and notes of oak and sweet vanilla.
