Canadian Club 15 Year Old Sherry Cask is Issue No. 1 of the Canadian Club Invitation Series, released in 2023. It is bottled at 42% in a 75cl bottle.
The whisky uses the same spirit as Canadian Club Classic 12, made from corn, rye, rye malt and barley malt. Here it was matured for 15 years, then filled into Oloroso sherry casks for a final maturation. The release looks back to 1984, when Canadian Club introduced the longer-aged Classic 12.
The nose is vanilla with sweet red and dark fruit, blackstrap and a little pitchy wood. Butterscotch, grapefruit pith and prunes lead to a warm, fruity finish of medium length.
