Caol Ila 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It is pale straw in colour and balances smoky peat with delicate maritime notes.
The nose opens with iodine, smoke and peat. After a few minutes in the glass, almond milk, sour sweets, ash and liquorice appear. The palate is oily and medicinal, with smoke and dried fruit. The finish is floral and herbal, with smoked malted barley, praline and mocha.
