Caperdonich 2000 is a 21 year old Speyside single malt, bottled by Whisky Sponge as Edition No.43. It matured fully in a single refill hogshead and is bottled at 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Caperdonich was Glen Grant's neighbouring 'site B' distillery, and this is the second Caperdonich from Whisky Sponge.
The nose brings apricots cooked in butter, overripe cantaloupe, glace cherries, cherry Bakewell and honeycomb. The palate is fatty, with dark honey, coconut shavings, mint cream and reduced stone fruit. The finish is long, with coconut oil and minty oak.
