This is a 1995 vintage single malt from Caperdonich, aged for 22 years in a hogshead and bottled by Ian Macleod for its Chieftain's range. Caperdonich was built in 1898 by the founders of Glen Grant. Pernod Ricard bought it in 2001 and closed it in 2002, and the distillery was demolished in 2010. The Chieftain's range draws on casks from distilleries that are in some cases closed or mothballed, and each bottle is signed by the range's Rare Malt Manager.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
