Caperdonich – 25 Year Old Peated (70cl, 45.5%)

A 25 year old peated single malt from Caperdonich, a Speyside distillery that has since closed. It belongs to the Secret Speyside Collection, a series created to draw attention to lesser-known distilleries. It is bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle. The nose brings sweet smoke, seaweed and freshly cut green apple. On the palate, sweet pear and gentle bonfire smoke sit alongside soft fruits, with the green apple carrying through from the nose. The finish is balanced and long.
