Caperdonich – Small Batch Release Peated 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 45.5%)

This is a 25 year old peated single malt Scotch whisky from Caperdonich in Speyside. It is bottled at 45.5% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill filtered. Caperdonich was established in 1898 next to Glen Grant in Rothes, and closed in 2002. The remaining casks are owned by Pernod Ricard and released under the Secret Speyside Collection. The nose offers green apple, pear, vanilla and gentle smoke. The palate is sweet fruit with vanilla and toasted oak, balanced by soft peat and minerality. The finish is lingering bonfire smoke with a hint of salt.
