Caravedo Acholado Pisco (75cl, 40%)

Caravedo Acholado is a Peruvian pisco in the acholado style, formerly known as Pisco Portón. It is made at Destilería La Caravedo, established in 1684 and described as the oldest distillery in the Americas. It is distilled from fully fermented grape juice, in effect pure wine with no pomace, in copper alambique pot stills and traditional falca stills. Each variety rests for four months and the blend for a further five, a minimum of nine months in all. Nothing is added: no colouring, water, sugar or wood flavouring.
