Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth (37.5cl, 16.5%)

Carpano Antica Formula is a sweet vermouth from Italy, in a 375ml bottle at 16.5%. It follows the original recipe developed by Antonio Benedetto Carpano in 1786, and it works as an aperitivo, a digestivo or a cocktail ingredient. It starts from white wine made from Italian grapes grown in Romagna, Puglia and Sicily. Botanicals are extracted by hot infusion or cold extraction, depending on the ingredient, then refined for several months so they blend together. The colour is light brown with an amber hue. The nose offers vanilla with spice, citrus, almond, raisins and cloves. The palate is round and rich with vanilla, bitter orange, dates, cocoa beans and saffron.
